A Spartans’ priority in-state top 100 prospect is off the board… at least for now.
Bryce Kish of Howell, Mich. announced his verbal commitment to Clemson on Sunday afternoon. Kish is high-level linebacker prospect, and committed to the Tigers following an unofficial visit to Clemson this weekend.

Kish is a four-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 95.72 in 247Sports’ composite system. He ranks as the No. 5 linebacker and No. 2 player from Michigan in the 2027 class. He is also listed as the No. 92 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State was considered one of the top contenders for Kish’s commitment, with the Spartans set to host him for an official visit in June. Kish recently shot up the recruiting ratings and rankings board, which was going to lead to more teams entering the mix of his recruitment. But still, the commitment to Clemson on the spot during his visit was somewhat surprising to see this early in the recruiting cycle.
According to 247Sports, Kish will now only be taking an official visit to Clemson in late May. Hopefully for the Spartans’ sake, that’ll change and they’ll still get him on campus for an official visit later this year.
