Ronda Rousey is celebrating Most Valuable Promotions signing Francis Ngannou to serve as the co-main event for her upcoming return to MMA while simultaneously slamming her former employers at the UFC.
Ever since signing to face Gina Carano in a featherweight fight headed for Netflix on May 16, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion hasn’t been shy taking aim at the company that inducted her into the Hall of Fame in 2018. Her latest shot fired comes after MVP signed Ngannou to face Philipe Lins following his release from the PFL just days after the UFC finally announced the upcoming card at the White House with mixed reactions to that lineup.

“Ngannou vs. Lins joins Rousey vs. Carano on Netflix, May 16!” Rousey wrote on Twitter. “How’s that for a [bad ass motherf*cker] laden double headliner?
“That’s what happens when you put fighters and fans ahead of shareholders. P.S. UFC’s White House card sucks!”
She capped off that message with double middle finger emojis, clearly sending a message about her thoughts on the UFC White House card.
Since her comeback was announced, Rousey has continued to take aim at the UFC while praising her working relationship with MVP, which is headed up by Jake Paul and his business partner Nakissa Bidarian.
Just after the Carano fight was announced, Rousey revealed that she initially reached out to the UFC to potentially partner with them but the two sides were unable to reach a deal. Rousey stated that she was originally offered a blockbuster deal to return with huge returns for possible pay-per-view buys for the event but everything changed after the UFC signed a seven year, $7.7 billion deal with Paramount that did away with the pay-per-view model.

At that stage, Rousey said that the UFC wouldn’t make her the same financial guarantees so the deal fell apart, and she ended up partnering with MVP instead with the Carano fight now happening on Netflix.
Rousey is making her first public appearance for the fight at a press conference on Tuesday, and there’s a good chance she’s going to address the UFC again while promoting her upcoming return.
