Sources: Commanders, Amik Robertson reach 2-year deal

The Washington Commanders have reached a two-year, $16 million deal with former Lions cornerback Amik Robertson that includes $9.3 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network.

Robertson, 27, spent the past two seasons in Detroit, which signed him to a two-year, $9.25 million deal in 2024 after four productive seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders.

He appeared in 17 games (10 starts) with the Lions in 2025, logging 52 tackles, a career-high 12 passes defended and an interception.

A fourth-round pick in 2020 out of Louisiana Tech, Robertson was one of Detroit’s most versatile and reliable defensive backs as the team dealt with multiple key injuries, particularly on defense, over the past two seasons, which forced him to cover some of the league’s top receivers. He saw action at slot and outside cornerback this past season but allowed a career-high eight receiving touchdowns in his coverage area.

ESPN’s Eric Woodyard contributed to this report.
