Redus is regarded as one of the top recruiters in the country, helping assemble the No. 1 class in 2023 and 2025. He was also named to the WBCA’s “Thirty Under 30” list in 2020

“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to be the next women’s basketball coach at Rutgers University,” Redus said. “I am no stranger to the rich history of basketball here at Rutgers and I look forward to building on that legacy as we move the program forward.”

Redus helped lead Decatur to the Final Four in 2007 and played college basketball at the University of South Alabama. He is the son of former MLB player Gary Redus.
