The Louisiana Tech women’s basketball Lady Techsters jumped out to a double-digit first-quarter advantage and blew out Delaware 72-43 in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Air National Guard CUSA Women’s Championships on March 11 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
The No. 1 seeded Techsters (25-5) advance to Friday’s CUSA semifinals where they will face the winner between No. 4 Sam Houston (18-11) and No. 5 Liberty (17-12). Wednesday’s victory was the 1,250th win in Lady Techsters history and extended the team’s chances of winning CUSA’s NCAA Tournament berth. The Techsters secured their first 25-win season since 2005-06 when they were members of the WAC.

Coach Brooke Stoehr’s club is seeking its 28 NCAA Tournament berth.
“From the opening tip, great defensive presence, intensity and integrity,” Stoehr said. “We’ve really been locked in the last several days on the defensive end, and it led to some great offensive looks. Paris (Bradley) shot well and we did a nice job of finding her.”
Louisiana Tech women’s basketball streaking
A perennial national powerhouse during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, the Techsters have only had a modicum of success over the past decade. But they’re currently on an 18-game win streak, the longest by a CUSA team in 25 years. Stoehr was recently named the league’s coach of the year for the first time in her career.

Ball movement
The Lady Techsters overwhelmed Delaware with quality ball movement on the perimeter. Tech was so quick with the ball that their opponents had little time to adjust. That was evident in opening the third quarter when Tech’s Paris Bradley (25 points) dropped in consecutive wide-open 3-pointers to kick her team’s lead up to 25 points.
When the Blue Hens tried to adjust, the ball was sent inside for a quick bucket by the Techsters’ bigs.
Defensive alignment
One of the big reasons for Tech’s success over the past two-plus months is a defensive effort that few teams have been able to solve. Holding Delaware to just 43 points was another shining moment. Tech has now held 13 teams to 60 points or less, including a streak of eight in a row. The Techsters have won by double-figures in 13 of their 18 straight wins.
