Taylor is listed as a four-star edge rusher in the 2027 class, with a recruiting rating of 90.09 in 247Sports’ composite system. He is ranked as the No. 31 edge rusher and No. 352 overall prospect in the class. He is also listed as the No. 13 player from Illinois.
Michigan State is one of nearly 25 schools to offer Taylor, with the Spartans extending him an offer last October, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Indiana, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Duke, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan, Miami (FL), Minnesota, Missouri, Northwestern, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
Michigan State has some ground to make up in Taylor’s recruitment. He already has official visits lined up with Indiana, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss, so Michigan State will hopefully turn this unofficial visit into a future return trip official visit later this year.
