The Lady Bulldogs currently sit as a No. 7 seed in NCAA Tournament projections following a 76-61 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats in the second round of the SEC Tournament. Georgia holds an overall record of 22-9 following the conclusion of conference tournaments, as the Lady Bulldogs went 8-8 throughout SEC play.

The Lady Bulldogs find themselves in prime position to make a serious run when March Madness begins on March 18th, as Georgia would likely have a favorable first round matchup should they officially be announced as a seven seed on selection Sunday.
Georgia ended the 2025-26 campaign ranked as the No. 22 team in the nation according to the AP Poll. Star playmakers such as Dani Carnegie and Mia Woolfolk played a massive role in Georgia’s success this year, as Carnegie’s team high 18.1 points per game this season proved to be the perfect compliment to Woolfolk’s constant domination in the paint. Both players will look to stay red hot during the NCAA Tournament, as the Lady Bulldogs are projected to enter the big dance as a No. 7 seed prior to Selection Sunday.
Georgia will undoubtedly hear their names called on Sunday, March 15, as the Lady Bulldogs are not expected to drop below their current projection despite the loss to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament. The Georgia women’s team will find out its NCAA Tournament fate at 8 p.m. ET on Selection Sunday (televised on ESPN).
