Ion Cutelaba pulled off quite the upset Saturday, at least in the eyes of the oddsmakers.
A moderate to heavy underdog, Cutelaba (20-11-1 MMA, 9-10-1 UFC) notched an even more improbable victory over Oumar Sy (12-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) when he won the UFC Fight Night 269 bout by first-round submission. Cutelaba snatched a guillotine choke and got the tap at the 4:24 mark of Round 1. The light heavyweight fight took place on the main card at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Cutelaba by first-round submission was +3000 on average across major online sports books, according to Best Fight Odds.
With the win, Cutelaba has won three of his most recent four outings. He bounces back from a split decision loss against Modestas Bukauskas in May.
In defeat, Sy has lost two of his most recent three bouts. He entered Saturday’s bout off a first-round TKO finish of Brendson Ribeiro.
