Clemson women’s basketball is poised to make the women’s NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019.
The Tigers (21-11) lost to Duke and were eliminated from the ACC tournament in the quarterfinals on March 7. They’ve been waiting for Selection Sunday ever since to find out their NCAA Tournament seed.

Here’s where Clemson stands in the latest March Madness projections ahead of the selection show on March 15 (7 p.m. CT, ESPN).
Clemson women’s basketball March Madness projections
ESPN’s Charlie Creme projects Clemson as a No. 10 seed in his March 13 projection. Nashville would be the host site.
The Athletic’s Eden Laase‘s March 13 projection also lists Clemson as a No. 10 seed. In this projection, they would be hosted by Iowa City and play No. 7 seed Baylor in the first round.
CBS Sports projected Clemson as a No. 10 seed on March 9, and it would face No. 7 seed Georgia in the first round.

Clemson women’s basketball’s resume, NET ranking
As of March 12, Clemson is ranked No. 42 in the NET. It is 2-10 in Quad 1 games, 3-2 in Quad 2 games, 4-1 in Quad 3 games, and 11-0 in Quad 4 games.

Poppie became the Tigers’ coach in 2024, so this year will be his first NCAA Tournament appearance with Clemson.
