The Georgia Bulldogs are trying to make their sixth consecutive SEC championship, and they have a major advantage. According to CBS Sports, they have the second-most returning starters in the nation.
Georgia has 14 starters from 2024, six on offense and seven on defense. They also have a few players with starting experience returning (Juan Gaston, Malachi Tolliver, Justin Williams, DeMello Jones). CBS Sports doesn’t include special teams; otherwise, Georgia kicker Peyton Woodring would count.

A few returning players, such as Gunner Stockton (Third-Team All-SEC), Nate Frazier (Third-Team), Drew Bobo (Second-Team), Peyton Woodring (Second-Team), and KJ Bolden (Second-Team), have earned recognition from the SEC.
The USC Trojans are the only team in the nation with more returning starters. Georgia’s tied with Oklahoma for the most in the SEC, and they’re also tied with Maryland, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and Oregon.
