MWCConnection Recruiting Roundup 3-16-26. Early offers, early committments.

It’s another week of the Recruiting Roundup.

Offers continue to pour in during the spring quiet period, as teams host recruits on campus during Junior Days. In fact, eleven different teams handed out at least one offer this past week, with three teams offering five or more players.

UNLV also picked up two early commitments. Committing this early in the cycle isn’t necessarily common for mid-major teams, but since the recruiting process is constantly moving up, it will be interesting to see how many commits the Rebels and other G5 teams have even before the summer official visit circuit starting at the end of May.

Speaking of early commits, Boise State got a 2028 commit this week, the first in either conference. Quarterbacks are often the first to commit in a recruiting class, but since the Broncos secured their 2027 QB back in October, they started work on their 2028 QB and now landed him over 1.5 years before signing day. While it’s no guarantee they are both still committed by their signing days, it does demonstrate how sped up recruiting is these days. And it’s even quicker with Power 4 schools.

Overall, securing two commits is a nice week for a team, especially in March. Because of that, UNLV is featured on the cover photo this week.
