Rising women’s strawweight contender Gillian Robertson picked up the biggest win of her career last weekend defeating former title challenger Amanda Lemos via unanimous decision in the UFC Vegas 114 co-main event.
With the win, Robertson extended her winning streak to five consecutive fights. She hasn’t lost since June 2023 and believes she’s done enough to have earned a title shot.

Immediately after the win at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Robertson’s coach Din Thomas whispered in her ear to call for a title shot against champion Mackenzie Dern in her post-fight comments. Robertson did just that.
“That’s five wins in a row. I’ve got the most finishes out of any women, the most submissions out of any woman. All I need is that belt to solidify myself,” she said during her Octagon Interview with Michael Bisping.
After calling for a championship bout, Robertson doubled-down on her desire to compete for the undisputed title during the event’s post-fight press conference.
“I think it’s the only thing that makes sense,” Robertson said during the UFC Vegas 114 Post-Fight Press Conference. “Five wins in a row, most submissions, most finishes. I think I deserve that spot. The only thing that would really solidify me anymore is that belt.”
