Whiny Chris Curtis reacts to boring UFC Vegas 114 decision loss – ‘Fun as a wet fart in church’

There was no action for “The Action Man.”

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight-turned Welterweight Chris Curtis suffered a lackluster unanimous decision loss to top prospect Myktybek Orolbai at UFC Vegas 114 this past weekend (Sat., March 14, 2026) inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On paper, the matchup looked like it would produce fireworks. Both fighters are known as finishers and creative strikers, but the bout quickly turned into a grappling-heavy affair.

Orolbai repeatedly grounded Curtis throughout the fight, racking up 19 takedowns, which now ranks as the third-most takedowns landed in a single fight in UFC history and most in Welterweight history.

Following the loss, Curtis took to Facebook to share his frustration with the performance.

“Well, that was as fun as a wet fart in church. Sorry guys,” Curtis wrote. “Physical therapy went well. My knee held up. I had a great camp. No excuses. Just a shit night and a shit fight. Man had really good grip strength, and it’s incredibly hard to fight a man who has no intention of being in a fight. Got some thinking to do and some stuff to figure out. But I walked out with no Physical damage at all, just my pride really hurt. Thanks for the love and support. We’ll see where we go from here. #Notdeadyet.”

Curtis’ blunt reaction is fairly typical for the outspoken veteran, who has never been shy about expressing his frustration (and saltiness) following fights.

The defeat drops Curtis (32-13) to 1-1 since moving down to Welterweight after spending most of his UFC run competing at Middleweight. After starting his UFC career with a perfect 3-0 record — including two knockout wins — the 38-year-old is now just 3-5-1 in his last nine bouts, with notable losses to Roman Kopylov and Brendan Allen in their rematch.
