NCAA Tournament viewers had a hard time taking their eyes off the guy with the goggles on Thursday night, March 19, when Georgia basketball played the Saint Louis Billikens in the first round of March Madness in Buffalo, New York.

Robbie Avila, a 6-foot-10 begoggled forward who transferred to Saint Louis from Indiana State, helped the Billikins to a big lead in the first half with his court sense and sneaky athleticism. Nicknamed Cream Abdul-Jabbar – a tribute to the Hall of Fame UCLA and Los Angles Lakers center who also wore goggles –as well as Larry Blurred and Larry Nerd, Avila was the focus of the CBS broadcast, with cameras focused on his family in the stands and his on-court play.
