The Lady Longhorns won an NCAA Tournament game by 42-points and didn’t cover. Let that sink in. The No. 1 seeded Texas Women’s basketball team will be pleased with its 87-45 win over Missouri State at Moody Center in Austin, even if UT didn’t cover the 43.5 point spread.
Jordan Lee lead Texas in scoring with 19 points. All-American Madison Booker had 14 points and 12 rebounds. UT had a 32-point lead at halftime ad cruised home on the second half. Texas will now host the Oregon Ducks on Sunday at Moody. The game time is TBD.

Lady Bears junior guard Kaemyn Bekemeier, who led Missouri State in scoring with 14 points, said the Moody Center crowd had an impact on their slow start.
“The environment was amazing. We might have been a little intimidated at the beginning,” Bekemeier said. “They are great defenders … They have a great shot to win this thing.” Texas has won 43 in a row at home.
Texas is a No. 1 seed for the third year in a row and made the Final Four last season for the first time in 23 years and are trying for UT’s first national title since 1986.
If Texas beats Oregon on Sunday, they will head three hours north for the Sweet 16 in the Forth Worth regional.
