Michael Page had a rough outing inside UFC’s Octagon earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 21, 2026) at UFC London LIVE on Paramount+ from inside the O2 Arena in London, England, even though the long-time MMA veteran walked away with a win. That’s because “Venom” had another lackluster performance against an opponent, Sam Patterson, who “didn’t want to engage.”
This was supposed to be a showcase outing for Page as he was making his return to England. The former Bellator MMA star has had a good start to his UFC career on paper — including a 3-1 record — but he needed to ramp his efforts up and do whatever he could to find a finish. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for Page as his three-round bout with Patterson was a complete dud.

In fact, Page’s walk to the Octagon was more exciting than anything that happened in the actual fight. See below:
Page, who turns 39 next month, end up walking away with a unanimous decision win to push his UFC record to 4-1. However, the hometown favorite received some boos during his performance and without a finish inside of the Octagon it’s getting harder to promote MVP as the striking sensation he once was. Page himself already thinks UFC has it out for him so Saturday’s outing could not have helped.
After the fight, MVP briefly defended his performance on his way into the back as he blamed Patterson’s lack of engagement for his UFC London snooze fest. Check it out below:
“It’s getting more and more difficult when nobody really wants to engage,” said Page. “Everyone’s on the back foot. It’s more difficult to fight somebody that doesn’t want to fight than fight someone difficult that wants to fight.”

Later on backstage, Page changed his tune and put some blame on himself. MVP knows he didn’t put on his best performance and it showed. See below:
“This is very disappointing from my own performance,” said Page. “I expect more from myself. It’s not good enough.”
