This WNBA offseason, Sabally continues to make headlines. More recently, she turned heads for her actions off the basketball court.
The German forward revealed that she shaved her head in order to raise awareness about alopecia, which is an “autoimmune disease” that causes hair loss, according to Cleveland Clinic.

Sabally’s best friend, Sunniva Ferri, is dealing with alopecia, so it’s an issue close to her heart.
“#alopeciaawareness,” Sabally wrote on Instagram, along with several photos of herself showing her bald head.

Her WNBA peers and several fans commented on her post and shared appreciation for what she did. Among those who showed support was Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull.
“Beautiful inside and out,” Hull wrote. She also left another comment using only heart-eyes emojis.
Hull has been active when it comes to liking and commenting on Sabally’s posts. While they have never been teammates, it’s clear she admires her work on and off the court.
Hull wasn’t the only Fever player to comment on Sabally’s latest action, though. Veteran guard Odyssey Sims also cheered for the Mercury All-Star and wrote, “Yeaaahhh Sa!!!”
