A guard in his sophomore season, Prosser surpassed the 1,000 career point milestone on a third-ranked Gannon University team headed to the NCAA Division II quarterfinal round for a second straight year. The Golden Knights (31-3) will play Michigan Tech (29-6) at noon Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

The former Berlin Brothersvalley multi-sport start competed in three PIAA championship games on state runner-up teams, and was named Pennsylvania’s Class 2A boys basketball player of the year as a senior in 2023-24.

Prosser leads Gannon with 18.3 points a game and was a first-team Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference first-team selection earlier this season.

He was the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament most valuable player after averaging more than 26 points a game during Gannon’s title run this season.

Forup previously had been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region Team before taking a spot on the NABC All-District second team.

He led the Mountain Cats in scoring (19.8 ppg.), rebounding (11.6 rpg.), field goal percentage (61.3%), field goals made (242), and free-throws made (69).

The Mansfield, Ohio, native ranked in the top-three in the PSAC in nine statistical categories and led the conference in double-doubles (20), field goals made, points (553), total rebounds (326), rebounds per game, and defensive rebounds per game (8.32).

Forup has 919 career points and 484 rebounds since transferring to Pitt-Johnstown from Capital (Ohio) University in 2024-25. Including his 381 points in one year at Capital, Forup will enter his senior season with 1,300 career points.
