Chiefs and Bengals are 2 teams to watch for Keldric Faulk, per report

The NFL Draft is quickly approaching as the Cincinnati Bengals look to make some noise in the first round this offseason.

There have been plenty of names tossed around for the Bengals with the No. 10 pick already, but in one of the latest draft notebooks by Matt Miller, Field Yates, and Jordan Reid of ESPN, it appears one player seems to be trending towards landing in the range with the Bengals linked to him.

That player is Keldric Faulk.

With Faulk trending towards an early first-round selection, Reid thinks Faulk could end up with the Kansas City Chiefs or the Bengals.

“The Chiefs at No. 9 and the Bengals at No. 10 overall are two teams to watch here,” wrote Reid on Faulk.

At 6-6 and 276 pounds, Faulk is obviously a trendy name at a position of need for the Bengals after losing Trey Hendrickson this offseason. Totalling 29 tackles and two sacks last season for Auburn, you would like to see some more production (especially in the sack numbers), but the length and athleticism are what pop off the page early.

For what it’s worth, NFL Mock Draft Database has Faulk ranked 19th overall in this year’s class, so he wouldn’t be a massive reach just inside the top 10. Still, this feels a bit too similar to last year’s selection of Shemar Stewart, who also entered the NFL with great measureables but little sack production in the SEC.

It’ll be interesting to see what the front office does here, but we are starting to get a clearer picture of whose name could be called at No. 10 when the NFL Draft kicks off.
