Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Dawgs are rolling on the recruiting trail right now with 10 commits already lined up and a top 10 class already. With spring practice starting this week we should see some of their top targets continue to make their way on campus for unofficial visits and then officially visit starting in May. A new name popped up on the Huskies recruiting board this week and he happens to be just down the road from Montlake.
3 star defensive lineman Achilles Reyna from Rainier Beach HS, WA was offered by UW this week after the Huskies were able to take a closer look at him. Renya, who has only played football for 1 season, has racked up offered from Cal, LSU, Texas A&M, and Utah so far in 2026 and his recruiting stock has blown up. Listed at 6’7” and around 240 pounds Reyna has a massive frame to grow into, and he has focused much of his attention in the past to playing basketball (but it looks like football may be his future primary focus). When you watch him play it’s not hard to see a lot of things you like, he has good initial burst/power, good hand placement, and is able to shed blockers with his length to disrupt offensive plays. The Huskies have made massive in-roads in the state of Washington and Reyna looks like a player who could potentially develop into an all conference player after some more refinement and time to grow into his frame. The Huskies have some stiff competition for him, and Utah already has an official visit set for June 12th with him. If the Huskies can get him campus for their spring practices and then get an official visit from him it should bode well for their chances of landing him.

That is all for today, as there hasn’t been much new news on the recruiting front with spring practice right around the corner. Keep an eye out for some unofficial visits over the next couple of weeks and some potential commitments coming. As always follow me @asieverkropp on X for recruiting news.
