The No. 1 overall seed Duke Blue Devils tasted defeat for the first time this postseason, falling 74-73 in the final ten seconds of Sunday’s Elite Eight game in Washington DC.

Duke was up by two with 10.2 seconds left and tried to advance the ball past half court. A pass was intercepted, which resulted in a long three-pointer by Braylon Mullins. The Blue Devils couldn’t overcome the series of events with 0.7 seconds left, falling short of the Final Four.
UConn’s Tarris Reed Jr. finished with 26 points, nine rebounds and three assists in the win.
In a game heavily controlled by Duke, the Huskies climbed back from a 19-point deficit to advance in the NCAA Tournament.
