One of the greatest fighters in the history of the UFC will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Demetrious Johnson, who ruled the flyweight division, was announced as the latest member of the UFC Hall of Fame during the recent event in Seattle this past weekend.
The UFC Hall of Fame ceremony takes place during International Fight Week in Las Vegas, likely this July.
Johnson, a native of Washington, still holds the UFC record for most successful title defenses in history with 11, going from 2013-2017 without losing the belt.

Along with his family, Johnson was in attendance at UFC Seattle, receiving a loud ovation from the fans. He will be part of the Modern Wing that includes Georges St-Pierre, BJ Penn and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Overall, Johnson went 15-2-1 with the UFC, helping usher in the 125-pound division by quickly becoming a star. He would eventually make more history by being “traded” to ONE Championship for Ben Askren.
With ONE, Johnson claimed the flyweight grand prix before retiring with a record of 25-4-1 in 2024.
