BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football freshman defensive lineman Kevontay Hugan is not currently on the team’s roster at this time, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Herald-Times.
Hugan’s bio has been removed from the program’s official website. He also wasn’t listed on rosters handed out by team representatives for spring practice. He arrived on campus as one of the mid-year enrollees from IU’s 2026 signing class.

Indiana coach Curt Cignetti mentioned being happy with his team’s depth across the defensive line at the start of spring camp last week. The Hoosiers opened spring with a 18 combined players at defensive tackle and defensive end that included a nice mix of returning veterans (Tyrique Tucker and Mario Landino), potential impact transfers (Tobi Osunsanmi and Chiddi Obiazor) and youngsters.
They added six true freshman, including Hogan, in this year’s class on top of five defensive line signees last year.
