Lady Vols basketball freshmen Mia and Mya Pauldo, who were the first two high school recruits to commit to coach Kim Caldwell, intend to enter the transfer portal, they announced April 1.
The twin point guards are the fifth and sixth players to announce or be reportedly entering the transfer portal, joining Deniya Prawl, Alyssa Latham, Kaniya Boyd and Lauren Hurst. Talaysia Cooper and Jaida Civil are the only returners left who haven’t announced their plan for next season.

Four of Tennessee’s five freshmen have now announced they’ll leave the program after one season. The transfer portal window which allows for immediate eligibility will last from April 6-20.
“After much thought, conversation (and) soul-searching we have decided to enter the transfer portal,” the twins wrote in a joint statement. “We’d like to thank the coaching staff for the opportunity to be part of the Lady Vol family. Thank you to our teammates, whom we’ve formed a sisterhood with. Thank you fans for your energy and support. Excited to accept the challenge of the next phase in our journey.”
