Duncan (15-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) enters the first UFC main event of his career, riding a four-fight winning streak. His last setback came in February 2024 in an opening-round submission loss to Manuel Torres.

Moicano (20-7-1 MMA, 12-7 UFC) will look to get back into the win column after consecutive losses to Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush. The loss to Makhachev was a very late-notice shift to the main event after Arman Tsarukyan‘s withdrawal, resulting in an unexpected title opportunity. He was originally scheduled to face Dariush, and got that matchup a few months later. Prior to the back-to-back losses, Moicano won four straight, finishing Brad Riddell, Jalin Turner and Benoit Saint Denis, with a decision over Drew Dober.
