Toss Delhi Capitals chose to bowl vs Mumbai Indians

Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

For MI, Suryakumar Yadav came out for the toss, with Hardik Pandya unwell and sitting out this game.

Suryakumar said the toss was “irrelevant” as DC wanted to bowl first and MI wanted to bat first.

Hardik’s absence forced a couple of changes. Corbin Bosch and Deepak Chahar came in, with Trent Boult vacating the second spot. Mitchell Santner, who has joined the squad, replaced AM Ghazanfar in an expected change.

The match is being played on pitch No. 6, a black-soil surface. It’s the same pitch where Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 278 for 3 against Kolkata Knight Riders last year. The square boundaries are 60 and 67 metres. The straight boundary is 73 metres.
