Another championship has been brought home to Los Angeles.
UCLA women’s basketball won the program’s first NCAA title over the weekend. The No. 1 seed Bruins went head-to-head with fellow No. 1 seeds Texas and South Carolina in the Final Four and never once trailed either team. UCLA secured the championship with a dominant 79-51 victory over South Carolina on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dave Roberts Shares Special Message With UCLA
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is no stranger to winning championships. He has led Los Angeles to back-to-back World Series titles and is looking to win a third consecutive championship this season.
On Monday, Roberts congratulated UCLA coach Cori Close and the Bruins on winning their first NCAA title in program history.
“Hey coach Close and the UCLA women’s basketball team, congratulations on your first national championship in history. From one champion to another, you guys went wire to wire as being the best basketball team in college basketball all year long. You did it with class, integrity, toughness. You guys made the entire Bruin nation so proud,” Roberts said.
