Notre Dame football is trying to flex its muscle in recruiting once again, this time with an Ohio cornerback who is current committed to Indiana.
Steve Wiltfong of On3 is reporting (subscription required) that the Irish are set to host cornerback Monsanna Torbert, who made his verbal to the Hoosiers in early January of this year. The 5-foot, 10-inch and 158-pounder is ranked as the No. 184 overall prospect by the 247Sports Composite, is wavering on his commitment. He’s “excited to meet Marcus Freeman in person” tomorrow, as this will be the first time he’s been to South Bend.

Torbert also told Wiltfong that he’s taking official visits to see Notre Dame, Indiana, Ohio State and possibly Michigan with the dates getting firmed up by the end of the month. The Irish offered him in early March, and just a few weeks later have put themselves into a great position to flip the Ohio star.
