UFC Fight Night 272 took place last week, but the lower-level event didn’t produce much movement in this week’s rankings update.
In the main event at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, Renato Moicano showed he was a few levels above fellow American Top Team product Chris Duncan. Moicano ended the fight in the second round with a rear-naked choke. Coming into the week at No. 15, Moicano’s matchup didn’t provide opportunity to move up in the lightweight rankings.

The co-feature was a key bout for the women’s strawweight division, however. No. 3 Virna Jandiroba handled No. 9 Tabatha Ricci on the ground to win a unanimous decision. With the top of the division stacked, and Jandiroba coming off a title loss in the fight prior, there was no upward movement. However, Ricci drops a spot to No. 10.
