
PEORIA — New Bradley Braves women’s basketball head coach Chaia Meier got a clearer picture of the task ahead for her program when the NCAA transfer portal opened for women’s players on April 6.
More than 1,300 players entered the portal in the first 48 hours, among them four members of the Bradley team that delivered a 20-13 season and went to the WNIT.

Bradley freshman guard Maya Foz headlined that group exiting. The 3-point sharpshooter averaged 14.4 points per game and 3.7 rebounds in the 2025-26 season.
Lucia Llaveria, a 5-foot-5 senior guard, entered the portal, as did 5-9 sophomore guard Caitlin Washington.
Micah Cooper, a 5-11 sophomore guard, averaged 3.1 points per game and was the fourth player to leave.

Meier, the former Marquette assistant coach, was hired after BU head coach Kate Popovec-Goss left for Boston College.
