The Toronto Raptors moved closer to clinching their first playoff berth since 2022 by beating the Miami Heat 128-114 on Thursday night.

Brandon Ingram dropped a season-high 38 points, RJ Barrett had 22, Collin Murray-Boyles scored 17 points, Scottie Barnes had 13, and Immanuel Quickley added 11.

The Raptors moved past Atlanta into fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto and the Hawks are both 45-35, but the Raptors swept them in the season series.

On the other hand, Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 24 points and 11 rebounds, Davion Mitchell finished with 15 points and 11 assists, and Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. each scored 15 points.

Ingram helped the Raptors to outscore Miami 24-6 over the final 5:46 of the first half to lead 69-50 at the break. He shot 10 for 11 at the free-throw line in the first half.

The Raptors scored seven straight points to begin the third, and Miami answered with nine 3-pointers in the quarter.

Ingram took charge in the third and had a 102-90 lead going to the fourth.

Both teams will play road games on Friday: the Heat visit the Wizards, while the Raptors visit New York.
