Colorado football’s new offensive coordinator, Brennan Marion, has experienced all the ups and downs of coaching over his nearly 10 years in college football.
Marion said that because of the media attention and threat of constant turnover, trust can be hard to come by for a coaching staff. That’s why the young coach said it means so much that Colorado’s head coach, Deion Sanders, has put his faith in him during the team’s spring practices.

Marion said that after some time feeling him out, Coach Prime has now given him some autonomy and trusts him with planning practices.
“Coach Prime has been awesome from the standpoint of trust,” Marion said during his Thursday press conference. “For coach to trust me with practice planning and different stuff that we do organizationally in the building, it’s been big for me to see that.”
While Marion is new to the Buffs, Sanders isn’t putting his trust into a totally unproven coach. Last year, Marion manned the helm at Sacramento State, leading the Hornets to a 7-5 season in the FCS. Before that, he served as the offensive coordinator at UNLV for two years, leading the Rebels back to relevance with his unique “Go-Go” offense.

Colorado fans will have to wait until week 1 for a look at the full Go-Go offense, but they will get a glimpse into Marion and his play calls this Saturday during the annual spring game.
