NASCAR Weather: Rain Forecast for Bristol Motor Speedway This Weekend

Three days and three races this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. Starting with Friday night and the NASCARCraftsman Truck Series, fans are going to get three days of racing action in the Last Great Colosseum.

The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will race on Saturday and of course, the Cup Series will take to the track on Sunday. There are new tires this weekend for the Cup race, and they should be more stable when it comes to temperature fluctuations. So, a cold front shouldn’t cause any major changes in fall off.

It really looks like a nice spring weekend in Tennessee. Bristol will have highs in the mid to high 70s and lows dipping down into the mid 40s to low 50s. A very slight chance of rain, about 15%, is as threatening as the weather gets.

The part-timer and most recent champion will go up against a field that includes 7 Cup Series full-timers. If Heim wins on Friday night, he will pick up a $350,000 payday to make up $500,000 total for the Triple Truck Challenge.

The NASCAR O’Reilly Series is always competitive and will be once again at Bristol this weekend. It is going to be action-packed all three days in Thunder Valley.

As for the Cup Series, we will see how these tires react. With new tires, there are many unknowns. We’ve seen this race produce thrilling results in the lats couple of seasons and we’ve seen a few snoozers as well. Is there a balance between tires falling off every 30 laps and someone like Kyle Larson leading 400+ laps?
