Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner continued working his way back from a high ankle sprain, playing under a minutes restriction in just his sixth game since returning, as noted by Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel.
In Sunday’s loss in Boston, the German native recorded 20 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes, though his shooting was inconsistent at 7-of-18, and he was seen with a wrap on his left leg while resting on the bench.
“I’m trying to push through and get as much time out there as I can,” Wagner said.
“I feel all right. … For sure, it’s frustrating but there’s only one way to get past that and that’s to push through it and do it in a smart way. But to go to that point consistently, and that’s all I can do.”
Wagner has played 5 seasons for the Magic. He has averaged 19.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 325 regular-season games.
