Marcio Barbosa met the media Saturday after his win over Dennis Buzukja at UFC Fight Night 273.
Barbosa (18-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) delivered an absolute stunner of a knockout in the first round against Buzukja (12-6 MMA, 1-4 UFC) to close out the prelims at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Barbosa hit Buzukja with a short left hook that connected right on the jaw and had the fight over before his head hit the canvas. Barbosa, who was making his UFC debut after a knockout win on DWCS this past fall, said his arrival is going to be an issue for the featherweight division.
“To start with this beautiful victory, it’s a sign that we came here to make some noise,” Barbosa told the UFC through a translator after the win. “It’s also an opportunity for us to dedicate even harder to this craft and get even better.
“… I showed the entire division that I’m a problem. People are going to keep an eye on me. Our team is going to go through this entire division. I’ve just got to get better, dedicate ourselves even more, and we’re going to make even more noise.”
