“Skywalker” just got the call.
On literally five days’ notice, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has signed former Bellator standout, Lucas Brennan, to face Francis Marshall at UFC Vegas 116 this weekend (Sat., April 25, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The bout will be contested at Lightweight. Eurosport was first to report the news.
Brennan (11-2) — son of former UFC veteran, Chris Brennan — made a name for himself early in Bellator, debuting at Bellator 224 and rattling off a perfect record (9-0) with eight finishes. The 25-year-old quickly built a reputation as a dangerous finisher with a slick submission game.
However, his momentum stalled in 2024 with back-to-back losses — first to Dimitre Ivy in Professional Fighters League (PFL), followed by another defeat under Fury FC’s banner. Since then, Brennan has rebounded nicely, scoring consecutive first round submission wins on the Texas regional scene at Xtreme Knockout.

Overall, “Skywalker” boasts a 91 percent finish rate, with eight submissions and two knockouts.
Marshall (9-3), meanwhile, is coming off a submission win over Erik Silva at UFC Mexico City — a result that led to Silva’s release from the promotion (details here). Prior to that, “Fire” dropped a controversial split decision to Marion Santos.
Now 3-3 in UFC with two finishes, Marshall will look to build some consistency against a short-notice, but dangerous, opponent.
Whether this late addition moves the needle for what has been viewed as a relatively forgettable Apex card remains to be seen.
