The Georgia Bulldogs are trending upward in four-star safety Jarrell Chandler’s recruitment following his visit to Athens, per Rivals. Chandler is an elite recruit with recent offers from the Miami Hurricanes and Texas A&M Aggies.

Chandler is ranked as the No. 30 safety and the No. 318 player in the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the No. 12 recruit in Tennessee. Georgia continues to emerge as one of the most realistic landing spots for the highly coveted recruit. Chandler recently visited Georgia on April 14.

Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff continue to target some of the top defensive players from the 2027 class this offseason, as Chandler would ultimately prove to be a nice addition for UGA.

At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Chandler would boost an already impressive Bulldogs’ 2027 recruiting class. Chandler plays high school football for Halls High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. As the Tennessee native will continue narrowing his options down. Chandler recorded 109 tackles, 23 pass break ups, three forced fumbles and an interception last season at the high school level. As a junior, Chandler also added 766 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Halls’ Jarrell Chandler (3) checks with the line judge during the TSSAA high school football game between Knoxville Central High School and Knoxville Halls High School on Oct. 16, 2025, in Knoxville, Tenn.

Georgia remains a serious contender for various elite recruits from the class of 2027 in addition to Chandler. Five-star offensive lineman Mark Matthews recently named the Dawgs to his top four schools, while the No. 1 tight end in the nation Grant Haviland committed to Vanderbilt over Georgia.
