Angel Reese Has Three Words Amid Atlanta Dream Training Camp

It has been a busy offseason for Angel Reese, with all the major changes and milestones she’s been going through. She was part of Team USA that participated in—and dominated—the World Cup qualifiers, and after that, she was sent to a new team.

Reese is now with the Atlanta Dream after a blockbuster trade earlier this month by the Chicago Sky, the team that drafted her in 2024.

She is thankful for her stint with the Sky, saying she experienced great things with her first WNBA team, but what she really wants is to win.

“I enjoyed being able to grow within my first two years, but I wanted more. I love to win, I love to compete, and I wanted to be surrounded by people who can make me better,” she said.

The new WNBA season will open in May, and Reese and the Dream have been busy preparing for it. The two-time All-Star even gave fans a peek into her busy offseason with the caption “Living the Dream.”

The posts include photos from her media appearances, fashion shows, training camp, her attendance at her boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr.’s games, endorsements, and pictures with her new teammates.

It’s not just her basketball career that’s thriving, but also her side ventures. Reese has been busy behind the microphone after launching her own podcast, and recently, she landed one of her highest-profile guests ever: former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Reese called Obama her idol, and the former First Lady returned the favor by calling her special and someone not to be messed with.

“You are handling yourself beautifully,” Obama said during the episode.

“It’s not just what you do, but the way you carry yourself. You do it with a smile on your face with an excellent attitude. You are a special, special person.”
