Chicago Bulls explored Austin Brown as a candidate to lead their basketball operations after moving on from Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley earlier this month.
However, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, Brown has decided not to pursue the role.
Brown represents several top NBA players, including Donovan Mitchell, Trae Young, and Jaren Jackson Jr., making him one of the most prominent agents in the league.
While agents have successfully moved into executive roles before, such as Bob Myers, Rob Pelinka, and Leon Rose, itβs unclear if Brown is uninterested in that path or simply passed on this opportunity.
The Bulls continue their search, with Matt Lloyd among the leading candidates, alongside Dennis Lindsey and Mike Gansey.
Initial interviews with candidates began Monday, per Charania.
