Welcome to the Kansas City Chiefs Jadon Canady.
The now former Oregon cornerback was just selected in the fourth round by the perennial Super Bowl favorites, realizing a dream come true.
After spending time with Tulane and Ole Miss, Canady came to Oregon with the hopes of improving his chances of playing in the NFL. That strategy proved to be a good one for the Jacksonville, Flor. native.

He had a very good year with the Ducks, and the only bad part is that Canady didn’t come to Eugene sooner. In his senior season, he managed 39 tackles and two interceptions, one each against USC and Washington. Canady also had a nice postseason, helping lock down the nickel position for the Ducks and thriving in his reunion with Chris Hampton.
Canady made two tackles and the first tackle-for-loss of the season in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Orange Bowl, and although the defense had a tough time of it against No. 1 Indiana, Canady had a nice game with four tackles and forced a fumble in the Peach Bowl defeat.
With a good season at a successful school like Oregon, Canady really opened some eyes at the NFL Combine, which undoubtedly improved his draft status.
The Chiefs see Canady as a similar player as Tyrann Mathieu, someone who can play corner, but could also see time at the safety spot as well when needed. Defense has been a focus for the Chiefs in this draft as the first picks have been on the defensive side with corner Mansoor Delane out of LSU, defensive tackle Peter Woods from Clemson and EDGE Mason Thomas from Oklahoma.
