Sources told ESPN that Kevin Durant is likely to miss Game 4 for the Houston Rockets against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Durant is dealing with a bone bruise in his sprained ankle, an injury that would normally sideline a player for 2 to 3 weeks, and despite undergoing around-the-clock treatment in hopes of playing, he has not been cleared by doctors.

He still reported to the team facility for rehab with Houston’s medical staff and participated in film study and meetings with teammates.

Sources added that the injury has led to swelling, stiffness, and reduced mobility in the ankle, with the Rockets now facing a 3-0 series deficit without him heading into Game 4.

Durant has spent 18 seasons in the league with five teams, including the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns.

Across 1,201 regular-season games, he has averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
