Tyran Stokes is finally ready to make his college decision, as the 5-star recruit will announce his decision today around 6:30 PM ET on ESPN’s Inside the NBA, according to Matt Norlander. It was previously reported to be at 3:30 on ESPN’s NBA Today.
Stokes is deciding between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks. The Oregon Ducks are technically a finalist, but this is widely viewed as a Kentucky vs. Kansas affair.

Kentucky has been heavily pursuing Stokes for the past year, and at one point, the Wildcats looked like the favorites for the No. 1 overall player in the 2026 class.
With Stokes being tied to Nike, it makes sense that two of his top schools are with that brand, while Kansas stands out as the odd one out with Adidas.
Still, Kansas is a blue-blood program led by a Naismith Hall of Fame coach in Bill Self, and Adidas has the financial backing to compete with Nike. The Jayhawks have actually been viewed as the leader for several months now, but Kentucky has done just enough to stay in the hunt.
Kentucky is hoping to secure Stokes, both to make him the first major high school commitment under Mark Pope and to land its first No. 1 overall high school recruit since Nerlens Noel in the class of 2012, according to 247 Sports.

For now, expect Kansas to be the choice today.
