Former No. 2 overall pick Cameron Brink played just 19 games for the Los Angeles Sparks last season. The 6-foot-4 forward returned for the latter part of the campaign after recovering from a devastating left ACL injury that cut her rookie season short.
Brink did not have a major impact on the Sparks last season, though. Her return for the final stretch required a significant ramp-up following her lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Brink averaged 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 12.8 minutes off the bench last season. She did not exactly take the WNBA by storm in her comeback, but her return to the court was a step in the right direction for the former Stanford Cardinal star.
Brink is looking to change the narrative in 2026. She is now fully healthy and is looking to pick up where she left off prior to her season-ending injury in her rookie year.
On Thursday, Brink put on a retro Sparks jersey for the customary preseason photoshoot. The 24-year-old quickly caught the attention of the WNBA.

“Brink, OG edition 🔥 Cameron Brink rockin’ the original @la_sparks jersey for Media Day!” the league posted on Instagram, sharing a video of Brink posing for the camera.
With Brink sidelined for the most part of the season, the Sparks finished 2025 with a 21-23 record for 10th in the league. This marked the fifth straight year that L.A. had missed the WNBA playoffs.
Brink will do what she can this year to help break the Sparks’ postseason drought.
