
Paige Bueckers stole the spotlight on Thursday night as the Dallas Wings defeated Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in a preseason matchup.
Bueckers and Co. traveled to Indianapolis for their first preseason game. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year went off 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, two rebounds, three assists, a steal and four triples in just 20 minutes of action.

Clark got off to a hot start, dropping 14 points in the first quarter. However, she exited the game in the third quarter with a leg injury and was unable to return.
Bueckers and the Wings secured a big win on the road, 95-80.

There was a good number of Wings fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday. Bueckers made sure to acknowledge their presence by going out of her way to meet them after the win.
Bueckers signed autographs and even gave away her game-worn shoes to a lucky fan. The 24-year-old also signed a very young fan’s Wings jersey. The WNBA reacted to Bueckers’ actions after Thursday’s win.

Also seen in the video is Azzi Fudd, Dallas’ No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. The former UConn Huskies star made her preseason debut for the Wings on Thursday, logging four points and an assist in 16 minutes.
Dallas will be back in action on Sunday for another preseason matchup. They will face the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, at home.

Bueckers and the Wings open their season on May 9. They will be back at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in a rematch against Clark and the Fever.
