“The Professor Finesser” is back.
Top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight prospect Ethyn Ewing will make his third Octagon appearance against yet another undefeated opponent when he faces No. 15-ranked Farid Basharat at UFC Vegas 119 on Sat., June 20, 2026, inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ewing announced the matchup during an appearance on the JAXXON podcast.
Ewing (10-2) has quickly built a reputation for ruining perfect records.
The 28-year-old burst onto the scene at UFC 322 by upsetting heavily hyped prospect Malcolm Wellmaker via unanimous decision. He followed that performance with an even bigger statement last month at UFC Vegas 115, stopping Rafael Estevam with a nasty body shot finish (watch highlights).
Two UFC fights. Two unbeaten opponents handed their first loss.
Now, Ewing gets his toughest test yet — and a potential path into the Top 15 rankings.
Basharat (15-0), meanwhile, has quietly assembled an impressive UFC resume, winning six straight fights inside the Octagon. While he hasn’t generated major hype due to a lack of finishes, the Afghan standout has consistently found ways to win.
