“I am delighted to welcome Ajša to our program,” Brooks said in a press release. “Her combination of size and skill will fit into our system seamlessly. Ajša is a tremendous shooter, scorer, and playmaker from the wing position, and she will add experience to our team. BBN let’s welcome Ajša to our family!”

Sivka, a 6-foot-4 guard from Slovenia, was selected 10th overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky but remained in Europe to represent the National Slovenia Team in the 2025 FIBA Women’s European Basketball Championship.

In three games at the EuroBasket Women’s Championship last year, she averaged 7.7 points on 50% shooting, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. Against Italy, she racked up 16 points on 4/5 shooting (4/4 from deep), two rebounds, and one assist.

Sivka was named Most Valuable Player and to the All-Star Five Team in the 2023 FIBA U18 Women’s European Basketball Championship.

Sivka also competed for Joventut Badalona in the Liga Feminina de Baloncesto last year, the highest level of women’s basketball competition in Spain. In 29 games there, she averaged 8.4 points on 40.2% shooting, 3.6 rebounds, and one assist per contest.

Prior to that, Sivka played with Tarbes Gespe Bigorre of the Ligue Féminine de Basketball in 2024–25, the top women’s professional basketball league in France. She began her career with Beretta Famila Schio of the Lega Basket Femminile in 2023-24, also the premier women’s basketball league for women’s basketball clubs in Italy.

Sivka was also named to the World Select Team at the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit.

With Sivka now in the fold for next season, Kentucky has done a fantastic job of reloading this offseason and building another team not only capable of reaching the NCAA Tournament but also of winning multiple games there for a second straight season.
