Now that the NFL draft is over, the Minnesota Vikings are kicking their general manager search into overdrive.
On Wednesday, report after report started dropping on each and every candidate that has been requested for an interview. In total, six different front office executives were reported to have interviews scheduled, and that includes a request to meet with Chargers assistant general manager Chad Alexander.
Alexander has been with the Chargers for the past two seasons, being hired alongside both general manager Joe Hortiz and head coach Jim Harbaugh in 2024. He’s helped oversee three draft classes for the Bolts, his first two containing upwards of double-digit starters and/or impact players. Early-round picks such as offensive tackle Joe Alt and wide receiver Ladd McConkey have been home runs, while he’s also played a role in finding contributors on day three, such as cornebacks Tarheeb Still and Cam Hart, safety R.J. Mickens, tight end Oronde Gadsden II, and running back Kimani Vidal.
