High Dive World Champion James Lichtenstein Signs Sponsorship Deal with International Swimming Hall of Fame

The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) has announced that it has signed a sponsorship deal with American high diver James Lichtenstein. A ceremony was held on Thursday night at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center, where Lichtenstein signed a contract with ISHOF and also took part in a high-diving exhibition, diving from the 27-meter tower at the Fort Lauderdale facility.

Lichtenstein is the reigning world champion in high diving, having captured the gold medal in the event at last year’s World Championships in Singapore. ISHOF signed Lichtenstein to a contract as part of its push to support world-class athletes in their quests for international success. A new ISHOF museum is currently under construction and will be a centerpiece of the $220 million Water District in Fort Lauderdale.

The ceremony announcing Lichtenstein’s sponsorship by ISHOF including remarks from the Hall of Fame’s Chairman, Bill Kent, City Commissioner Steve Glassman and Mario Caprini, the CEO of Capital Group P3, which is overseeing the Hall of Fame’s construction project.

“The International Swimming Hall of Fame signed the first high dive athlete in its history.” Caprini said at the event. “This institution is not just honoring the past. It is investing in the athletes writing the sport’s next chapter, right here in Fort Lauderdale.”
