Four-star Georgia QB target announces commitment date

by

A major Georgia Bulldogs quarterback target announced his commitment date. Four-star quarterback Peter Bourque will commit on May 14, according to Hayes Fawcett. He’ll either commit to Georgia, Penn State, or Michigan.

Bourque is a four-star quarterback from the class of 2027. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound quarterback plays high school football for Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts. He is the No. 7 quarterback and No. 80 prospect in the nation.

247Sports and Rivals are split on where they think Bourque will end up. 247Sports logged a Crystal Ball prediction on him committing to the Michigan Wolverines, although that prediction was made on Aug. 10, 2025. Meanwhile, Rivals’ prediction model has him going to the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Regardless, neither gives Georgia good odds to land him, and that’s alarming. He is the highest-rated quarterback that isn’t committed, and he and Colton Nussmeier are the only two left that are from the top 10 at the key position.

Georgia’s still looking for their long-term plan once Gunner Stockton leaves for the NFL or runs out of eligibility. In general, the Bulldogs need to beef up their 2027 recruiting class. It’s ranked No. 30 in the nation, which is far from their usual pace.

While the Bulldogs have landed two five-star recruits (Kemon Spell and Jaxon Dollar) they still have just six commits in their class. Hopefully, the team can earn a surprise commitment from Bourque. Georgia just lost a commitment from five-star cornerback Donte Wright.
