Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion, reportedly battled a “sinus cold” throughout the week. And despite finishing in eighth, as Sunday’s event was wrapping up, he called for medical attention.

Over his radio, Busch did not specify why he needed a doctor, but arranged to have one meet him after he exited his car.

“Can somebody try to find Bill Heisel? He’s the kindred doctor guy. Tell him I need him after the race, please,” Busch said.

When asked if the doctor should meet him at his car or on his bus after the race, Busch chose the latter, saying “I’m going to need a shot.”
